Trail of Lights Comes to Dell Children’s Medical Center
Austin Trail of Lights brought some pre-season excitement to the children at Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas, a member of the Seton Healthcare Family, on Tuesday November 20, 2012. The Trail of Lights team treated the children and their families with a preview of some of the lights that will line the Trail including elves, penguins and bears.
“Everyone has a story or memory from the Trail of Lights. The 2012 Trail of Lights allows a new generation, like the children here at Dell Children’s to create memories with this community celebration that touches everyone,” said Marcella Maxwell, Child Life Specialist of Dell Children’s Medical Center. “Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas is excited to be part of the Trail of Lights Village, made possible by Dell, and the GiveTogether Austin campaign.
The Trail of Lights visit to Dell Children’s Medical Center kicks off the GiveTogether Austin campaign, a public donation campaign that benefits 23 Trail of Lights nonprofit partners, including Dell Children’s Medical Center. Throughout the holiday season, people can participate in the GiveTogether Austin campaign in three ways—text donations, direct donations and by buying a wristband that will provide discounts on merchandise and shuttle passes for easy access to the Trail.
